ADDED NOTE from Bonnie Spencer-Beer:
Nancy loved to be a teacher. I believe she was a character and a role model for what I believe a good teacher should be. She has lived a great life and was blessed to connect with Gordon I her "golden years". They complemented each other. She has missed Gordon but now she is in a better place, moved on to join him. Still loved by many.

2017 Singing Auditorium

‘So We’ll Sing Our Songs, Just One More Time
For Those Old Beck Pals of Mine’

Following in the glories of past Singing Auditoriums, we invite Beckites and their spouses, or significant others, to come together for another grand song-fest in the Old Auditorium on Friday, May 5th, 2017.
Last April, around 170 graduates of the best school in Canada joined together to raise their voices in song, and greet old friends. Under the excellent direction of Marg (Johnston) Polishuk, old chestnuts such as ‘My Buddy’, ‘On the Road To Mandalay’, ‘Edelweiss’, and of course the ‘Beck Fight Song’ rang through the auditorium and adjacent hallways. It was a night to behold!
And so, again, on Friday, May 5th, from 7:15 until 8:45 p.m., we’ll join Margie and accompanist Martha Upton in 90 minutes of song, followed by an hour or so of meeting and catching up with friends in the school cafeteria, where light refreshments will be available.
Our program will feature some Glee Club songs, perhaps a couple of Gilbert & Sullivan choruses, a quartet, and other additions to an updated song list. It should be a blast!
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. (Front doors only!) for registration and an hour or so of meeting former students and teachers, and reacquainting ourselves to the ‘old school’, before heading to the auditorium for the songfest.
Our charge of $5.00 per person will just cover our costs for the event. Please have the exact change available, to speed up the registration process.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW – Friday, May 5, 2017 – 6:00 p.m. at the Old School.
We’ll be looking for you there.
Please pass this information to other Beck grads you are in touch with, so no one is left out.

Chair, Singing Auditorium Committee

There will be another SABCI Singing Auditorium on Friday, APRIL 29TH, 2016 in the Beck Auditorium, now the Thames Valley School Board building. Program will begin at 7:00 PM when the doors will be locked. Get there early! Relive a Beck Singing Auditorium by joining fellow Spartans in “The Auditorium”. Following, there will be time to catch up with your fellow Spartans in the “old cafeteria”. Light refreshments will be provided. Gather up those old pictures, programs, uniforms, etc. and bring them along to our musical reunion. Your items will enable all of us to take a trip down Beck’s memory lane. SPARTANS, mark APRIL 29TH, 2016 on your calendar and plan on attending – partners and guests are most welcome. Beck Alumni can view the Beck website at: http://www.jaba.net/beckcollegiate/ While you are there, update your contact information at the Roll Call page so you can get more by email. 2015-03-08
Singing Auditoriuim for April 24th, 2015 has been cancelled.

Folks, sorry to say that because of a number of folks not being available for April 24th, and some illness that has affected the presence of others, I am calling a halt to this year’s S.A.

Jim will be sending a mass e-mail out to his list of 1800 Beck grads to advise them of this cancellation, and I will send a note to LFP’s Reader To Reader rescinding the article that appeared just this week-end.

And since we had already booked and paid for the April 24th date with the TVDSB, I will try to either recoup these funds, or apply them to next year’s date, which by my reckoning will be April 29th. If you have problems with that date, please let me know by return e-mail. I’ll wait a couple of days before contacting the Board.

If you have told friends and acquaintances about the April 24th date, please contact them and set them straight.

Doug Petch

After 1965 no group photos were taken of graduating classes. We have added photo albums from the year books for the years 1966 to 1969 to the Class Photos page.

14 Nov 03
On the 'old school' page we have a photo of the front of the school
before expansion and we have a floor plan of the school after
expansion. Can anyone with a good memory draft up a floor plan before expansion? Can anyone contribute a photo of the front of the school after expansion? The floor plans are good for revisiting the school that we knew so well so long ago.
